elpa-magit-popup software package provides Use popup like Magit, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elpa-magit-popup
elpa-magit-popup is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elpa-magit-popup package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elpa-magit-popup *
You will get with elpa-magit-popup package name, version, architecture and description in a table
